MJ

"Remember What I Told You"
2026, 5x7" archival ink on paper.

A cautionary tale depicted in scenes from the infamous 2005 MJ trial in Santa Barbara. Lyrics from the unreleased/unfinished 90 second demo of "Remember What I Told You" ("Just Remember") from 2008/2009. Believed to be one of the last song recordings from the King of Pop ever captured.

Fashion Illustrations
2026, 9x12", 6x9". Graphite, ink, watercolor on paper.

Outfits worn from 1993-2009. Designed by Michael Bush and Dennis Tompkins.

A sampling of sketches and paintings completed between 2009-2021.

"The Michael Jackson Collection"
2009-2010, Site Specific Installation / Exhibition
Granville, Ohio

In 2009/2010, I presented a collection of paintings, crystal masks, porcelain sculptures, and other items "created for" and "owned by" the King of Pop, Michael Jackson displayed under the pretense of a silent auction (and under a fake company I created) at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Designed to coincide with my thesis on the Cult of Celebrity culture using Michael Jackson as the vehicle, this was a fully realized exhibition, even going so far as fooling members of the community into thinking it was an actual auction of the late King of Pop's possessions. The idea was to directly comment on society's fixation upon iconic figures, like Michael Jackson, and obsession with memorabilia; can owning an item from the personal collection of an iconic figure, an item that was touched by them, imbue some sort of magical power to the purchaser? No of course not, but isn't manifestation something magical in itself?

Unfortunately, only one copy of the exhibition book exists today, presented here.
